[RTTY] TS 590s on RTTY

Hi Dave, I own a TS-590s and operate RTTY and digital modes.

Yes, the USB port provides rig control (serial port) and an audio device. You can 
run AFSK or other audio digital modes without any more interface. 

>Is TS 590 FSK true FSK... 
For FSK you must use the 13-pin connector and send a shift signal. Works fine, I 
don't know what it might be doing inside the radio. I've never had a problem. 

> If AFSK is desired, must it be run through the 13pin din connection? 
AFSK can be through the USB audio device, or through the 13 pin connector. 
FSK is through the 13 pin connector. 

>Are all filters available in all modes? 
No, FSK or DATA modes have a smaller selection of available filter widths, compared 
say to CW. And some noise reduction and other features are different or not available. 
But, I've never found it to be a big problem or overly limited my operating.
