I would like to comment on some of the new rules of HELVETIAContest:


“2.1 Date and TimeThe last full weekend in April, Saturday 13:00h UTC to Sunday 12:59h UTC.


2.3 Categories:


· SOAB-CW-HP 

· SOAB-SSB-HP
· SOAB-CW + SSB +Digital-QRP
· SOAB-CW + SSB +Digital-HP 

· MOAB-CW-HP 

· MOAB-SSB-HP 

· MOAB-CW + SSB +Digital-HP 

· SWL


Participants incategory QRP are using no more than 5 Watt at the transmitter output.


The meaning of„Digital“ is RTTY, PSK31, PSK63, etc. Per Digital-Mode one QSO per station andband is permitted.”


 
So, it became a multi-mode, WW-type contest.Unfortunately the digital modes are defined ambiguously and there is noseparate digital category. I presume that the digital modes fans will navigatebetween RTTY, PSK31, PSK63, PSK125, just wasting timeand interfering with non-contesters hams.


Let’s seehow busy the RTTY-ers will be this weekend.
