You will be surprised at the EU activity.  It won't be like it was a couple 
of years back but there will still be plenty of DX to work.  The further 
west you are, the tougher it gets though of course.  But the same story 
applies to JAs.  Try 15m in the later afternoon pointing west.

In addition to forecasts, I use two actual live indicators of
propagation:  The NCDXF beacons and the presence or absence of JT9 and
JT65 signals. Many times I have seen what appears to be a dead band
except for the JT signals which indicate the band is actually open.

Right now, 1045 PST, ten has nothing and 15 has a few.
