Greetings Diddlers:

Well we had quite the turnout last week. 17 stations reporting on 3830, with new stations N6AJS, AI6JB, and KC4HW jumping into the mix. The stars must have been aligned, with several of our old time regulars back at it including WD0T back from home improvement duty and KB1RI, WQ5L, and K3PP back for more. Welcome all and we hope to see you in the future.

Last week was our first with the availability of the live scoreboard (contestonlinescore.com), but there were a few glitches. N1MM+ logger had a small problem with mode reporting so many stations were posting to the NS CW scoreboard. Also, some stations were reporting as (A) even with Single OP selected. Those problems should be fixed, so if you had issues last week (or did not try to use the scoreboard) give it a try this week. A few of us managed to post some scores so let’s see how many we can put up there this week.

The upcoming weekend looks to be pretty quiet, although if you are an IOTA hunter you’ll likely want to be on the lookout for some special stations. But if you need a RTTY fix for the week, please join us and keep those diddles in tune!

Here are the details for our usual Thursday evening session:
Friday, 28 July 2017, 0145Z - 0215Z (Thursday, 27 July 2017 in NA)
-- 1845 - 1915 PDT
-- 2145 - 2215 EDT
-- (others in-between those two)
-- 160: 1805 and up (Not sure this will be productive)
-- 80/40/20/15/10 +80kHz up from the band edge (start checking those higher bands!)
-- Same band dupes ok after 1 intervening Q.
-- 1 kHz QSY rule, otherwise standard Sprint rules
-- Mults per band
-- 100W power limit

Please visit http://www.ncccsprint.com/rttyns.html for complete rules and links to other info. If you find any problems with the web pages, please let me know so we can get them fixed.
If you would like to receive all the latest info about NS as well as a have a place for comments and questions, sign up for the NS mailing list: http://www.kkn.net/mailman/listinfo/nccc-blue
As noted above, give the live scoreboard a try at contestonlinescore.com, and select the NCCC NA CW SPRINT to display the scores. The Help menu pulldown will give you the info needed to setup the most common logging programs.
Don’t forget to report your score to 3830scores.com, and join us at 0300Z on 3610 kHz (+/- a few for ongoing groups) for comments and questions (and dinner menus).

Diddle diddle,

Ken K6MR
