[RTTY] Equipment temperature

At work, we had a satellite receiver that was built with a vendor power
supply mounted on its rear panel.  I didn't know its temperature, but
the supply ran so hot that you couldn't hold your hand on it.  Every
year or so, the electrolytic filter capacitors in this supply would fail
by going open.  One of our guys had the good idea to mount an outboard
Muffin fan to blow on this supply. After that, the capacitors (and
supply) never failed again.  The lesson was that electrolytics don't
take heat well.  Apparently it dries them out.  Almost all equipment has
electrolytics, so this is something to consider.
