[RTTY] No FT8 code/decode with MK II

Although I do not think this is a microHam micro Keyer II setup issue, it  
is submitted in case someone has had the same situation and solved it.
 
    FTdx5000 to microHam microKeyer  II    
    PC 3.3GHZ with 16 Gig RAM
    FT8 software WSJT-X v1.8-rc1 [also tried rc2]
 
Initially the MK II setup using the somewhat out-of-date  srtup procedure; 
and the installation and  setup of FT8 went very  well.  After about a week 
of operation the BAND ACTIVITY, aka waterfall and  RX FREQUENCY panes on the 
FT8 main screen went blank.  The WIDE GRAPH  screen is filled with 
activity, many over S9.  The blanks remain  today.

    Input      Line In  (microham codec)
    output    Headset earphones  (microham codec)
 
Any suggestions?
