[RTTY] NS RTTY this Thursday (Tonight!)

Greetings Diddlers:

Sorry for the late reminder this week, seems even my foolproof reminder didn’t remind me!  Attention: this is the last session before the official running of the NCJ RTTY Sprint!  Don’t forget to put a yellow sticky on the monitor:  0000 – 0400Z (adjust as appropriate for your time zone) this Saturday evening (Sunday if you are on UTC time).  Even though the basic operation is the same as the NS sessions, there are some rule differences so check the NCJ web site if you need a refresher.  And don’t forget to use the appropriate logging program template to get your score correct.

Welcome to Pierre, VE3KTB who was with us last week.  The conditions last week were about as weird as I’ve ever heard them. Hopefully there will be no more of that silliness and we can get back to normal.

So get everything warmed up tonight and get tuned up for the best knob twisting, no cluster required contesting session in the known RTTY world.  Here’s hoping to a calm sun and good propagation.

Here are the details for our usual Thursday evening session:
Friday,  15 Sept 2017, 0145Z - 0215Z (Thursday, 14 Sept 2017 in NA)
-- 1845 - 1915 PDT
-- 2145 - 2215 EDT
-- (others in-between those two)
-- 160: 1805 and up
-- 80/40/20/15/10 +80kHz up from the band edge  (start checking those higher bands!)
-- Same band dupes ok after 1 intervening Q.
-- 1 kHz QSY rule, otherwise standard Sprint rules
-- Mults per band
-- 100W power limit

Set up your logger to report and select the NCCC NA RTTY SPRINT on the web page to display the scores.  The Help menu pulldown will give you the info needed to setup the most common logging programs.
Don’t forget to report your score to 3830scores.com, and join us at 0300Z on 3610 kHz (+/- a few for ongoing groups) for comments and questions (and dinner menus).
