[RTTY] Serial Number Fills

Running QRP (almost exclusively S&P) in contests means I usually get
more than the average number of requests for exchange repeats. In N1MM
(Classic) I use the Digital Message Window (with 24 available macro
memories) for a variety of messages, but for exchanges I use two that,
in the case of a serial number exchange, send the complete exchange with
the serial number repeated twice in one macro and three times in the
other macro.  I make the choice of which to use on the basis of the
strength of the other station, general condition at the time, or how
many times he or she has sent their exchange.

When a serial number repeat is requested, I use another macro that has
only "(no space)123(space)123(space){RX}".  This allows me to send 2, 4,
6, 8 or 10 repeats of the serial number alone, no calls, no TUs, no
RST.  N1MM ignores the {RX} command if any more characters are in the
cue.  The chain will be uniform, that is, no extra spaces in the chain,
which helps in deciphering even unshifted characters.  Plus, when
conditions are poor, I can easily add 2 (or more) serial numbers to my
original exchange since I do not send my call at the end of the first
exchange.

And don't forget to add a space at the end of each transmission.  I am
surprised at how many contesters don't do that, making deciphering and
mouse-click capture of exchanges more difficult.
