I had a nice chat with Per JX7DFA yesterday who had a FB 10m single band 
score in the CQWW CW contest last weekend, and he seems to be getting more 
into contesting lately.  He even made a special trip to the west side of 
the island and operated with a generator because DX conditions are better 
there.  For those of us who are DXers, he has probably given a lot of us 
new overall or band countries/zones also.

Anyway, he is using the ancient "freeware" version 6.26 of CT.  I offered 
to buy him a new copy of CT to hopefully get him more interested in 
contesting (especially since ARRL 10m & ARRL DX contests require Cabrillo 
format submissions).  I thought if I could get a few others to chip in, it 
would lower the cost a bit and we could send it to him on behalf of the 
SCCC.  If I could get 3 others to chip in $20, or 7 others to chip in $10, 
that would take care of it.  If you are interested, please drop me a note.
