[SCCC] Looking for Speakers for Southwestern Division Convention

Hi Jim and the SCCC group,

To increase participation in the seminars, I would be happy to donate an
AR-210 tiny TNC to the SCCC for the purpose of giving it away as a free
raffle prize for those in attendance to one, or maybe collectively all, the
contesting seminars.
Perhaps give one raffle ticket to each attendee and draw at the end of that
seminar or the final seminar.
Maybe by advertising this prior to those seminars, we might get some persons
attending who might not have otherwise been exposed to contesting.

Greetings, fellow SCCC members!

I had asked Will if I could have a few minutes to address the group at
the lunch meeting in Visalia but, unfortunately, our reserved tables had
been taken over by others visiting US Tower.

As co-chairman for the Technical Program at the 2001 ARRL Southwestern
Division Convention in Riverside on September 7-9th, I'm looking for
interested parties to speak about contesting at the convention.

Suggested topics:

--Contesting 101 (could be a panel discussion)
--Advanced Contesting Techniques
--Techniques for the Casual Contester
--setting up a contest superstation
--anything else that you think may be of interest

I would really appreciate it if volunteers will step forward.
