         I decided to try out 10 meters as the start band, hoping to pick
up some stations that I would not be able to work on other bands and
heard a station with "SS" in their call testing. I called just to see what 
state I was hearing and make sure I was sounding OK.
Well, that station turned out to be "S9SS" on Sao Tome Island off the coast 
of West Africa....a new Band Country for me!
         This year, Rene N6STX and her OM Achim NC6X ( Achim is originally
from Germany ) who are relatively new to contesting, were able to come back 
to operate and get more valuable contesting. NN6X Paul got some time in 
also Sunday morning. Thanks to all of you who worked us !
