[SCCC] CQWW Contest Recording Help?

Would anyone be willing to help and make wide-band recordings during
the CQWW CQ Contest coming up the weekend after Thanksgiving?

What would happen is that I lend you my Time Machine, which is a 5" by
7" circuit board, a small VCR, a tiny camera, and some tapes. We set
the system up at your QTH. A 20-meter antenna of some type should be
attached.

At some time during the contest period, hopefully when 20 meters is
open, because I currently have a 20-meter crystal in the unit, you
turn things on and let the recorder operate. If you have ambition,
after 6 hours, you might come back and put a new tape in.

The little TV camera should be aimed at a clock, to make it easier to
figure out what is on the tape.

You will be making a recording of the 20-meter CW band. It can be
played back through a communications receiver and the contest can be
relived.

You should not transmit while the recorder is operating because it is
likely that you will overload it's front end. This idea might work for
someone not planning on transmitting during the CW contest, or someone
planning only a limited effort, such as single-band.

It would be best if you were somewhat technically savvy, but if you
can make a VCR work, that is probably adequate.

I would have to get this to you on Thursday night. I probably leave
for Brazil for CQWW, where I'll be PS2T.
