I will be operating this weekend as VP9/W6PH at VP9GE's QTH. My entry is
SOABLP. I will be happy to entertain any QSY requests if you need me on another
band, unless I have a good run going. If you want a QSY, give me the
frequency and I will go there immediately.
I can QSY as fast as I can type the frequency into the callsign line. I will
make the QSO quickly so I can get back to my frequency. I usually reply to
the request with "R QSY NW".
Please don't ask for a QSY unless there is good probability of propagation.
And I appreciate the packet spots. I do listen carefully for the 6s. A
couple hints: 1) If there are a lot of people calling me, I find it easier to pick
up a station 100 or 200 Hz away. 2) If I don't come back to someone right
away, send your call again immediately. Many times there will several stations
calling zero beat and they all stop sending at the same time. I wait until
one of them gives me a call. Avoid this by going back to 1). If you hear me
say KB, it is an acronym for Kick Butt, for YCCC to outscore FRC. Good luck and
KB, Kurt, W6PH
