[SCCC] New Sunspot Cycle Forecast

In case you missed it, this morning's LA Times (March 7) has a very interesting article on page A10 summarizing results of a new model for forecasting the sunspot cycle. 

Bottom line: The model predicts that cycle 24 will be a year late and as much as 50% stronger than the last one, beginning in late 2007 or early 2008, and it will likely peak in 2012.

Of even greater interest to you solar physics fans will be the new NCAR computer model, based on data from the SOHO satellite, of the dynamics of the sun's interior. Check it out the story at:
