Comments:
I needed the sleep.  Single band without a decent antenna is a struggle, but struggles are what I'm used to.  The antenna was a 3-element tribander at 20 feet, manually turned.  
I missed most of the juicier countries except for TZ5A, had only a handful of Europe and Africa, and almost missed zone 3.  This was a case of grit your teeth, grind it out, and hope the JAs show up.
