Got a late start on station setup. Discovered 3 minutes befoe
the contest start that the tuned input on the Ameritron AL-82 
was blown on 40 meters so I had to do a quick amplifier swap. 
The T/R relay on the spare amp was intemittent on receive, so I 
did most of my 20 meter QSO using a K9AY loop for receive. 
Problem seemed to clear up after about an hour. Heard W4OC 
in South Carolina and Chris KL9A at ???? (can't remember what
call he was using) in Idaho each 1 time, but no QSO cigar. Second 
and third hours where lackluster, but had a bit more fun on 80 
meters in the last hour. Great to hear everyone and great to 
actually do something besides work for a change.
