Hi, Tom.

I was not familiar with this event until your posting,. but how about taking 
a counter-mode approach rather than looking for the elusive contest-free 
weekend?  Hold the CX CW event during a weekend in which another Phone 
contest is runing, and run the CX Phone when another CW-only competition is 
underway.  Also, starting at, say, 0000Z on Sweepstakes Saturday (Friday 
p.m. local) would provide CX operating time without much contest 
interference for the better part of one day
