BTW, these work as advertised.

They are in use as bulkhead pass-throughs on a Navy ship I am 
involved with occasionally.  The ones I see are heavy duty metal 
frames, with the same blue packing material, which is a dense, 
rubbery plastic of some sort.  They are mostly for really permanent 
installations where you don't have to go back and add new cables or 
change things often.  If you do, they are tedious.
