i wanted to comment a few but hit send a bit too soon.
This was my first TEST from the new QTH and man, what a difference.
The BigIR with 32 rad did a great job.
I could not believe my ears to what i was hearing (given the fact
that i had over 6 months of no contesting and CW is not my strength
yet), I managed to worked many new countries (11).
I worked things on 40m with one call and busted a few pileups. I
sure hope this is not just my lucky day, but I'm hooked again.
i worked a total of 86 pref, 11 new countries mostly South America.
I did spend sometime inspecting my station as I operated to check
SWR, moved things around, cables, and took a baseline of my station.
Overall, i had a great time and i sure can't wait for the next one.
73 for NOW.
NOTE: i have not sent out the SO2R DVD's yet, but they are in a box
that i just found yesterday as I was contesting. Expect them to go
out soon - man, this buro is slow ;-)
