This is a tough contest unless you are loud.  Being 2500 miles from  the 
nearest station is a handicap.  I was stomped on so many times trying  to answer a 
solicitation that I almost quit.  The contest starts at 2 pm  local and ends 
at 6 pm, so 80m is out.  I had better luck either calling CQ  or being the 
only station answering which became the case after the first half  hour or so.  
The long call sign didn't help either and I was asked for a  lot of repeats.  
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the contest and will try to be QRV  for the SSB part.
If it wasn't for the 6's, my score would have been half this.   Thanks.
