[SCCC] DX Cluster Node?

Hi Dennis,

I obviously use the N6WS-6 node, also. If you receive any helpful info
on from your query on how I could improve the N6WS-6 node, please let me
know. It may be helpful in improving the node. If you issue the
command WHO, you will see a list of the nodes currently connected to a
given node. N6WS-6 connects to nodes from around the world to ensure a
minimum propagation delay in the spots arriving to the node. The N6WS-6
node also provides spots to several other nodes in SoCal. W6TK-6, W6KK,
W6RFU, K6SY, and N6VR all connect to it and receive timely spots
originating in zones 1-5. If you notice any anomalies in the service
provided by any of the mentioned nodes, please let me know, and I will
correct the problem.

One feature you may be interested in that doesn't seem to be used often
is the chat function. If you use the command JOIN SCCC, you will see
chat messages sent to the chat group SCCC. You initiate a chat session
or send chat messages much like talk messages, except they go to whoever
has joined the group. I can send you or anyone on the SCCC list a list
of all the CHAT commands if you would like them.

Also, there is a new worldwide talk capability implemented to minimize
the full network-wide announcements. Unfortunately, some nodes or
subgroups of nodes minimize the propagation of the user information, so
that feature is being hindered by some sysops.

Once again, if there is anything I can do to improve the service of
N6WS-6, W6TK-6, W6KK, W6RFU, K6SY, or N6VR, please let me know.

73, Bill
N6WS
