[SCCC] SCCC Meeting at W6TK in Nipomo - August 9th

SCCC has gotten itself invited to the BBQ at Dick Stepanian, W6TK's
QTH in Nipomo on August 9th. The general announcement follows. Come
meet with contesting denizens of the northernmost part of the SCCC
territory. In addition to the socializing typical of all our meetings,
there may be a discussion or two on some aspect of contesting or
DXing.

Dick would appreciate a $5 donation to the tri-tip and chicken fund.
Please let him know if you are coming so that he can adequately
provision the event.

At present N6AA and N6TJ are expected to attend so consider yourself
either informed or warned.

Note that the Santa Barbara Hamfest takes place on the next day. See

Features are one free selling space per person at the swapmeet, and a
pretty good tri-tip and chicken BBQ that follows for $10. It won't be
as good as the one at W6TK's but remember, it's open to anyone, not
just the elite of SCCC and the Central Coast.

Greetings ALL...

     You and your spouse/friend are invited to this year's
DX/Contester's BBQ at Dick (W6TK) and Liz's (KC6PIK) on Saturday, Aug
9.  You are welcome to invite anyone interested in ham radio, licensed
or not, who may be interested in DXing and/or Contesting.

    As usual we will plan to eat around 12:30 PM.  You are welcome to
arrive anytime after 11:30.  Plans will be pretty much as in the past.
 Dick & Liz will provide the Tri-Tip and Chicken, bread and drinks
(soft-drinks and water).  A $5.00/person donation will be appreciated.
 Also if you can come please plan to bring a salad or dessert.  Those
coming from more than 100 miles will not be required to bring anything
but themselves!

     A couple of things we will need to know...
     1)  Head count: we would like to know how many will be coming
from your end - obviously to know how much tri-tip/chicken to prepare.
 Also if you will be bringing a salad or dessert.

     2)  Logistics Support:  Since our local rental outfit has
relocated we will be in the need of tables and chairs.  If you have
any you can bring please let us know - what and how many.

     We will again have a swap table for those wanting to bring some
treasure(s) they are willing to part with - you will be required to
take anything you bring that doesn't sell - another wards - I don't
need to store any more than I am...hihi.  BTW - the Worked All Europe
CW Contest will be going on and the rig will be ready for anyone
wanting to make a few Q's - if we can hear them!!!
