Hi Dennis,

I just got off the phone with the Maine Medical Center, and John is still in
the Special Care Unit.  They did let me talk to John's son, Dominic, and he
said that the family asks that John's friends not call the hospital, as
there are simply too many folks calling for the staff there to manage.  The
family will make announcements through someone who can get the word out to
John's many friends.  If you'd like to send John an e-mail, you can send it
