The W6ZE Field Day site at Walter Knott School in Buena Park is
coming along nicely.

We secured a 106' tower trailer which holds 3 low band antennas at 3
levels coving 80 (at 106') and 40 meters. Its quite a site!

K7JA set up a plethora of antennas for 10 meters and
above...something like 10 and a couple of obscure beasts at that! He
took out the 817 and with 5 watts on 6 meters, got into the east
coast. Here's hoping 6 stays open for the weekend!

I counted no less than 4, KT34XA booms being used as masts, two tower
trailers, two tents hidden under a willow tree, and a couple of 50'
aluminum towers with full size antennas for 40 and 20!

Saturday morning the 25KVA genset rolls onto the field and over 600'
of 240V cable and breakout boxes will keep the stations and RVs humming along.

In other words, we (OCARC, WARA, and CARA members) are putting
forward a huge effort to pursue that elusive grand prize (we came
close in 2007 coming in 2nd place overall...no, it wasn't even
close). If you are out visiting sites, or want to see only one of
the BIG ones, please stop by, you will not be disappointed!
