TONIGHT . .
Week 5 of the current 100-watt NCCC Sprint Ladder (NSL-9) is tonight,
Thursday, 0230-0300Z on 20, 40, 80 and 160m cw, preceded by W9RE's Slow NS
at 0200 on 20 and 40m, 18-26 wpm. see earlier post from Mike.
See www.ncccsprint.com for details.
The weekly NCCC Sprint contest provides an excellent warm-up opportunity
for the upcoming (Sept 12) NCJ NA Sprint, besides just being fun and
challenging by itself.
The CA wine prizes from the outstanding Muns vineyard of W0YK are on their
way to the winners of NSL-8, K0PC, N4DW and W4OC. This may be the only
major contest in which you can win a significant award by making a sincere,
but not necessarily high-scoring effort; those who compete in five weeks of
the series (still possible in NSL-9) go on the list for wine drawings, with
higher scores earning multiple entries in the list. Thus we reward both
participation and performance.
The contest has its own reflector with about 100 members . . please contact
n6zfo at arrl.net for details.
