Comments:
For the second time, Alan and I did CW Sweeps as a two person team using the
excellent antennas and hardware at Alan's station in Southern Oregon. We
pretty much split the operating 50/50 and enjoy the fun and the camaraderie
as well as the Q's. Naturally, none of this would be possible without the
great food and other support from our wives, Glenda and Emily. (And of
course the station dog, Toby).
We set out without specific goals (except to have fun and spend a few days
together) but were immensely pleased to up our Q count by 50% compared to
2007.
Hardware was an original FT1000MP driving an 87A. Antennas are a 14 element
tribander and a 3 element 40 at about 75 feet. 80 meter antenna was a full
size dipole.
THANKS TO ALL THE GREAT OPS OUT THERE WHO ANSWERED OUR CALLS and RESPONDED
TO OUR CQ's.
73 de Bill, W1HIJ and Alan, K7GT
