Comments: Disappointed that 10 was not alive and I guess I didn't stay up
long enough or listen at the right times on 160. Thought 40 and 80 were
good and of course 20 and 15 were my bread and butter. The 4 element
SteppIR with the 40 mtr rotatable dipole seemed to worked well - still
getting use to another set of controls to manage during band changes - but
the antenna works well! I missed Sunday morning so by the time I got on
Sunday afternoon things were slowed way down. Since Jack, KF6T, and some
family and friends were visiting in the area, the plan was to have Jack as a
multi partner in the seat for a while. But embarrassingly, I realized when
I stopped for a dinner break...that I had been signing "Unlimited" which I
thought covered a multi-op scenario...when my wife asked about it...I went
back and all of a sudden it hit me that I should have been signing "M" for
multi...duh! I already had around 350 q's and you would have thought I
would have realized it earlier since I had been working some "M"
stations...but guess my age is catching up with me and it didn't ring a bell
until it was way too late! So ended up Jack didn't sit in the op chair
because of my goof...so I owe him one!
Glad to work several of the SCCC guys. We will be on as "Multi" with some
of the local guys during SS-SSB in a couple of weeks. 73's Dick
