The official results are now online at ARRL.org:

SCCC won the club competition in the 2010 August
UHF Contest by an enormous margin. SCCC's club
aggregate score was over 3.5 million points. Our
nearest competitor, the Northern Lights Radio Society,
had about 469K--barely one eighth of SCCC's score.

Thanks to everyone who took part in this contest.

Congratulations to Steve Katz, WB2WIK, who handily
won the single operator low power category nationally,
beating the perennial winner, K2DRH, in what became
a battle of expatriate "twos." (K2DRH lives in
Illinois, Steve in SCCC-land.) Steve, operating
at N6NB's home station in grid DM13, scored almost
180K to set a new Southwestern Division record,
smashing the old division record of 15K.

In the rover category, both N6NB and W6TAI broke the
old national scoring record, with scores of 517K and
487K, respectively. Both of us had individual
scores higher than any club aggregate score in the
country except for SCCC's.

The next VHF+ contest is VHF Sweepstakes in January.
We will need several more good operators to replace
people who may be unavailable for various reasons.
We have plenty of rover stations available. If you
have ever run a good rate in phone (HF) sweepstakes
and you are a good driver, SCCC needs you in
VHF Sweepstakes! If you'd like to help SCCC kick
some eastern (and northern) butts in VHF SS 2011,
please email me.

73, Wayne, N6NB
