[SCCC] SCCC Meeting at ARRL Southwestern Division Convention in San Diego

Last Minute Reminder - This Weekend - 2010 ARRL Southwestern Division
Convention - San Diego

There will be a Southern California Contest Club meeting at the
convention from 2 PM to 2:50 PM on Saturday. It was supposed to be
billed as a "Contest Forum," but the convention organizers actually
have the words "S. CA Contest Club" in the on-line program.

What follows is from a message to all ARRL members that may be a
duplicate if you are signed up to receive such E-mails.

The Southwestern Division's largest Amateur Radio gathering is at this
weekend's ARRL Division Convention on September 17, 18, and 19, at the
Four Points Hotel Sheraton Hotel, 8110 Aero Dr., San Diego. The
location is in northeast San Diego, just east of the junction of the
805 and 163 freeways.

Hosted by SANDARC, the San Diego County Amateur Radio Council, it
features over fifty talks, demonstrations, and classes, along with
vendor displays, prize drawings and optional banquets. The Saturday
evening banquet speaker is Chris Imlay, W3KD, ARRL General Consul, who
will also be covering antenna and other legal issues at a legal forum
on Saturday morning.

Friday's forums start at 3 PM. Vendor exhibits are open from 5 PM to 7
PM.

The free swapmeet, located in the far west hotel parking lot, takes
place starting at 6 AM Saturday, and runs until 10:30. Swapmeet
attendees are encouraged to visit the convention after the meet.
Convention forums and exhibits are open from 9 to 5.

Sunday's forums and exhibits are open from 9 to 12.

The ARRL Forum, on Saturday afternoon will contain an update on Amateur
Radio and  ARRL happenings, as well as time for questions, concerns, and
suggestions.

Special event station W1AW/6 will be set up at the site during the
convention, and licensed attendees will have an opportunity to operate.
