First time ever, ever worked 160 meters. First time ever, ever I
fell asleep at the radio calling CQ--about 1am Sunday. Then
went to bed. Tuner and counterpoise brought the rain gutter
SWR down to 1.2 to 1. Worked most stations that I heard,
mostly close in. Farthest out was Colorado or Wyoming or Mexico.
It was a hoot just getting the "antenna system" to work!
When the first station came back to my call, I declared it a success!
