NOTES:
Great start for the year. Goal was to work the whole 10 hrs CHECK Pop 400 plus Qs CHECK. Band conditions
were good...not great...good. Didn't hear a thing on 10. Activity was super! I did very little S&P but sat still and work'em
at a modest rate. While I never had any super rates the Qs came in a steady flow...very satistfing.
The F12 is sick and needs another balun on the triband section but did well on 15.
As I feared the RTTY ops pushed well down the band on 40 made it ruffer finding a spot.
For once my band changes work out well only some bouncing between 80 and 160
K6ZZ lives only a few "RF" miles away and has never been a problem. I ddin't hear him most ot the day BUT I found him when I changed back
to 80 late in the test. While he wasn't interfering his signal did quite the nosie on 80 and 160. An S3 QRN level on 160 was to good to be true! Worked out well
The lads were VERY upset...dirt bikers massed out in front and the boys did their darn best to warn them off. Lucky it was a CW test!
Now for some coffee, a shower and hit the RTTY RU.
