Yep, no 160 ssb allowed in Japan.  CW, yes.  I remember Tom Gallagher 
N6RA (maybe W6KWE then...) about 35 years ago, went single-band 160 
in the August CW AA, and made one or two contacts to win the category 
for North America.

--old AA fan, but out of town for this one...
