The beginning was encouraging, with 40 meters excellent on Friday night. 
But first thing Saturday morning Windows XP crashed irreparably, taking the 
log with it. I operate S&P only, so continuing without dupe checking wasn't 
feasible. The recovery version of W-XP took two hours to install, and then 
refused to host either WL or N1MM. I first decided just to quit completely and 
work in the yard, but every couple of hours I thought of something else to 
try, and by the end of the day I was able to retrieve the original log and 
get working a very minimal version of WL. Started operation again Sunday 
morning. 
 
The computer OS crash was the only single-point failure for which I hadn't 
prepared a workaround, so maybe back to pencil and paper for a while...
