Comments: With the anticipated solar flares I woke up early Sat morning
expecting the worse and was surprised it wasn't any worse than it was -
bad enough - but there were real signals to copy and work!!! It was "work"

but had some great runs on 15 and 20. My impression was there are a lot
more unique calls on SSB than CW. But thanks to the SSB guys - it did
help the Q count go up significantly. This was my best IARU score but

less than my highest number of combined mult's. EU was "relatively" sparse -
in-fact I don't think I worked any EU on 40. East Coasters didn't seem
to have trouble hearing/working EU. Took off about a total of 1 hr during

the day - until I had to leave to pick up xyl from airport at 11:00PM -
got back on about 12:30AM for about 45 min and called it quits - too
pooped to continue. But 20 was still going pretty strong - except I didn't

hear any of the Russians and EU over the pole like in the past. 80 was
just plane "noisy" - so didn't spend much time there. Fun way to spend
a Sat - too bad sun didn't cooperate better!! 73 till next time. Dick
