The Boy Scouts Jamboree On The Air will run internationally all day  
Saturday and Sunday. Locally, W6B and K6B will be on from 10 AM to 4 PM.
 
K6B will be operated by a group of scouts on the aft deck of the USS Iowa. 
 
W6B will be operated by a group of scouts, augmented by some SCCC members,  
from the Firestone Scout Reservation in Brea. This is a challenging 
location, on  the floor of a steep-walled canyon. But I know all SCCC members who 
wish to work  us are not deterred by weak signals...
 
W6B and K6B have band capability from 40 thru 10, and will be calling CQ in 
 the General portion of the bands. We will be sure 40 gets used frequently 
to  facilitate QSOs within the SCCC area.
 
Many gererous offers of time and material from within SCCC. I will  post a 
summary after the weekend is over.
