[SCCC] noise heard around LAX area

Is anyone living near or around the airport (LAX) experiencing a new 
noise on all bands but 40?  It is reminiscent of the old woodpecker 
noise from over the horizon radar.  A constant knocking nose. Started up 
about Thursday.

Could be something in the neighborhood (Westchester).  I should have a 
recording later today.  It is a friend of mine having this issue (K6LEN).
