Comments:

I am not set up to operate any VHF bands other than 6 meters, and if you
have been following along, I don't have the ability to put up a yagi on a
nice high tower due to HOA restrictions. I have a moxon at about 12 feet and
run barefoot.

Sunday was the money day for us in So Cal. 6m opened up nicely and I was
hearing a lot of stations north and east of me. I worked a few too.
Furthest heard was Missouri. The spots on DXMAPS were amazing. I've never
seen the map so full of red lines indicating everyone working everyone else.
It was crazy. KI6RRN reported getting called by a VE2! At times, 6m sounded
a little like the HF bands, with a lot of CQers and stations working each
other fast and furiously. There were several instances of guys CQing on top
of each other, as propagation was good to me but not between themselves. For
me, this contest is mostly me trying to add a few states for 6m WAS and to
throw in a few points for our club. Six is a lot of fun though. XE2CQ in TJ
was constantly loud on CW and SSB. I do have a clear shot into TJ but based
on the runs I heard him doing, he must have a very good 6m station and
location. I rarely could hear the station he was working.

I listened for the SCCC rovers in L.A. County and surrounding areas but it's
too far a shot on ground wave for me, and too short for Sporadic-E.
