As a longtime VHF contester, I really appreciate the donation. A few of us were just talking last week ago about why I quit roving due to the lack of activity and how we could get it back to where it used to be. Donations like this are definitely a step in the right direction!
Thanks Dave!!

Subject: [SCCC] Generous Donation from W6AQ
Hi, all.
In connection with simplifying his Hollywood station to one that focuses on
remoted HF, SCCC member Dave Bell W6AQ has made a generous donation of VHF
and UHF equipment to SCCC for use in VHF-and-up contesting. The following
gear is available on a loaner basis to any SCCC member wishing to use it for
a contest operation (and credited to SCCC's club score, if applicable):
Yaesu F-736R transceiver with all available modules, covering 50, 144, 222,
432 and 1296 MHz, all modes. This radio can be powered by either 120 VAC or
13.8 VDC.
RF Concepts RFC2-317 144 MHz amplifier
TE Systems 2212G 222 MHz amplifier
Mirage D1010 432 MHz amplifier
SSB mast-mounted preamps for 222, 432 and 1296 MHz
Single long-boom yagis for 144, 222 432 and 1296 MHz
Four SSB DCW series sequencers
Back in the active days of the Western States Weak-Signal Society, Dave was
a regular participant in the VHF and UHF SSB nets, and you could always
count on getting W6AQ into your VHF and UHF contest logs on multiple bands.
This legacy equipment is still better than what most VHF+ contesters have
available today. Dave wants it to be used to encourage SCCC contest activity
on the bands above HF. Please contact me to arrange a loan of the
equipment. Hint: ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes is only two months away.
Dave, a hearty thank you from all of us!
73,
Marty N6VI
