SCCC'ers,

It seemed like almost every station I was calling I heard W6YI and N6ED
make their contacts while I waited for the strong stations to dwindle.

It was fun playing with low power, but I could have made a better choice
of radios. Using a radio with menus instead of dedicated knobs was a
real pain. The FT-991 seems like a good Field Day radio, but I don't
recommend it for a real contest.

Comments:

Rig : Yaesu FT-991

Antennas : SteppIR DB-36 @ 55'

Soapbox : I thought the bands were pretty good. Running low power was a
little rougher on the voicebox. I felt I had to make up for the lower
power with a louder voice.
