N1MM is free and that is why it is popular.  I have used both N1MM and
Win-Test and much prefer Win-Test.  N1MM needs a mouse to do just about
everything.  In Win-Test you can use the keyboard for commands.  It is  much
easier to edit a previous entry in Win-Test without going to a pop-up  window.
And Win-Test is like CT on steroids.

I feel like I am controlling Win-Test.  With N1MM I feel like it is
controlling me.

N1MM+ is  superb for SO2R. And SO2V

You must be thinking of the prior version  called N1MM which was slow

The New N1MM+ software was refactored to  optimize multi Ops situations

BTW. A number of stations winning  Multi-Multi have converted to  N1MM+

Yup,

Hams being  inherently cheap
( and the Aussies are definitely SKINT ) go with N1MM, but  those I the know
go with Wintest.......N1MM can be a bloated slug when  running complexly
controlled Multi-Op Category efforts.....

For  Single-Op Category efforts or for contests that WINTEST doesn't do
like
CQP, CWT and other State QSO Party Contests, N1MM is  OK
