Comments:

Almost all S&P, just a couple of decent runs on 40m. Just enjoyed the
unassisted finding and working DX under disturbed conditions. Two rainstorms
came through ("it never rains in SoCal") which provided quieter line
noise, BUT huge precipitation static took its place so I had many hours away
from the rig.  Lots of sleep the second night.

Unfortunately, during the weekend I was receiving updates re my mother's health
condition, so my heart wasn't in this contest.  She passed away peacefully on
Monday morning.

Thanks to Mom - Doris - for fully supporting my entry into amateur radio in
1960 at the tender age of 14.  You and Dad sent me down this path which led to
countless hours of enjoyment and learning... along with wonderful friendships
and successful career.
