Comments:

I hadn't made a big effort in CW SS for several years due to antenna issues and
some weekend work/travel conflicts.  This year a friend back east mentioned
that he planned "to make 1,000 QSOs as fast as I can, and then quit to
watch football!"  I thought that sounded like a good idea, so it's what I
did also.  Knowing that I didn't have to be on the last few hours of Sunday,
scratching and clawing, helped me retain a good attitude throughout and it was
really fun to catch QSOs with so many old friends!
