Congratulations to Greg Campbell, W6IT, for building a 10-band
home station for 50 MHz through 10368 MHz, with amplifiers on
all bands.

He's been working on this project for more than a year and it's
now finished, rain-tested and working! I just ran through the
bands with him and signals were excellent and stable on all bands
over the path from Panorama Heights to Newport Beach. He has
instant bandswitching and GPS-locked stability.

Now he can mount his black box and microwave antenna stack on
his tower. That won't be difficult because the tower has a tilt-over
mechanism. Even more impressive, the tower has a building permit
issued by the City of Newport Beach! (Getting that was another
year-long adventure.)

Now there are three 10-band stations mounted on home towers here in
Orange County: Greg's, the one at my house in North Tustin (on an
LM-470 tower), and the one at Panorama Heights (on a TMM-541). Sadly,
all three are in the same grid square (DM13).

Greg and I are doing a joint presentation next Friday night (Feb. 17)
at the Orange County Amateur Radio Club at the Santa Ana Red Cross
headquarters. My slide show is about the three microwave DX records
that Greg and I set from Hawaii to California. His is about
what goes into one of these multiband microwave stations in a black
box, with photos showing the inside construction.

Greg should be commended for his patience, perseverance and crafts-
manship!

73, Wayne, N6NB
