Two of many possible solutions:

Mount the fans so they float on soft rubber
grommets so that their Chinese square ball bearings make less QRN,  or,

Purchase NEW fans at:
WES - Willys Electronics - (WES =We Supply Electronics), San Diego, 858 279 5800;
4925 Mercury St, 92111. Yes they have a free catalog and their prices are rock bottom as a pro-shop should be!

I've had no noise issues using an Astron RS-30(M)....

Was it reviewed in QST article ?
