Comments:

Nice to be back on the air, even if by remote. Things have surely changed
since last century. Not easy to go from logging with pen and paper to
computerized logging and reporting, especially not being a touch typist.
First time submitting logs and claimed scores electronically. Hopefully,
I’ve submitted them in the proper manner. I’m sure I’ll hear if I haven’t.

Decided after the first hour or so I would concentrate mostly on zones and
countries on each band. 10 meters was a complete washout. Listened several
times on 10 but never heard anything. I suppose that’s possible.

40 meters was great on Sunday morning from 5am when I woke up until 9am,
just like I remember it from a few cycles ago. Stations from everywhere at
the same time. Path over the top was particularly hot
 JT1CO 59 +10.
Snagged A5A around 1430Z; for me, the highlight of the contest. The JAs on
frequency were very polite for a couple of minutes. Worked 38 zones
combined across all bands. Missed working zone 34 and 36, although I heard
5A0YL on 20 meters.

Could not believe how far the constant calling, bad practices and rudeness
have progressed since the early 1990s. Welcome to amateur radio in the 21st
century.

73, Steve
