Don has suggested some good general loggers. Another free one is Log4OM.

AS far as entering old QSO's, here is a suggestion:

Get a general logging program. Then export an adif from N1MM+ and import 
it into your general logger.

Next, go through the QSOs from your paper logs, and only enter those 
that you need for a specific award. That would reduce the entry process, 
probably by quite a bit. Later, if you want, you could always enter the 
other QSOs.

Also, I suggest setting up a LOTW account. You might find you have 
confirmations in there that you don't have cards for.
