Here is a radical, heretical thought: if the band is open, you don't 
need, and shouldn't be using, FT8, FT4, MSK144, JT65, MSFT 7.23h, or 
any other computerized mode. For one thing, you can make many more, 
and many much more very satisfying, QSOs, by having the fun yourself 
and using CW or voice instead of letting your computer do all the 
work for you then reporting afterward just how many thousands of 
"QSOs" it made in how many countries, states or grids.
