Soapbox : Not much of an effort. My main goal was to work out
some of the kinks in my remote system for SSB operation. I definitely
need a foot switch of some sort to mute/un-mute my headset microphone
when I am listening, since the activation threshold of the VOX function
in TeamViewer is way too unpredictable to safely leave the mic connected
when listening. Also, the internet latency between my hotel room in
Toronto and my station back in SoCal seemed uncomfortably long. This
long latency combined with the extra mouse click needed to mute and
un-mute my tx audio and the mouse clicks needed to go from the
microphone enable/disable window back to N1MM+ in the TeamViewer remote
desktop window, made for way too many instances of awkward pauses and
doubling. Definitely lots of room for improvement. Nevertheless, it was
still a kick to make some QSOs from the hotel room.
