Always many ways to look at something.
 They had to look at facts and people’s fears... if one were to go off the CDC’s writings those would be two entirely different lines of thought.
My take is I’m glad they made a decision, don’t know if it was the right or wrong one. Lots of differing opinions.
This being a contest oriented reflector I’ll add that a lot of ham’s still made it across the world in order to operate during the ARRL DX contests. The fact that they were traveling and congregating seems to be opposite of the DX convention’s leanings.

It took courage to take this unusual action and I for one appreciate the 
concern that was shown. I know it's affecting a lot of people, business 
and others but we all need to see the big picture. Hopefully next year 
things will return to normal.

It might be wise to postpone meetings and other conventions until the 
danger has passed.
