Greetings, All.

It was wonderful to honor Dave Bell during this SS by signing his call and using his KX3 for the operation. Thanks to N5OT for use of the callsign.

Operating from Flint Peak provided a good drop off for my 100' dipole fed with CAT5 twisted pair. It also meant I was outside in the elements for
most of the weekend. Interesting times.
Paper logging, no dupe sheet and lots of wind. My memory was not up to the task and I called 15 dupes. Sigh.
Because the area is closed between 10 PM and 4 AM I hiked down Saturday night and back up Sunday morning.
I like to think I'd have found SB if there had been more time available on 40 and 80. I also think my transition to 40 and 80 on Saturday was tardy.
I stopped at 2359Z on Sunday to be down by sunset.

The wind was really strong on Sunday. A raptor was standing still in the air stream at eye to the north for minutes at a time. The envy of helicopter pilots I am sure!
Three coyotes, young healthy adults, trotted by me 50 feet away on the summit road mid-morning. I shouted and waved my arms just to be sure
which caused them to look away quickly and keep going off into the bush as if to say, "nothing to see here!", the correct response.

Attached is my 3830 post.

73,
David N6AN
